ADSL Data Cap
What is ADSL Data?
Now that you have the ADSL line and set to a certain download and upload speed,
a bandwith cap, also known as bit cap, limits the transfer of a specified amount
of data over a period of time, measured as 1GB or 3GB per month bandwidth. This
refers to the amount of data flow over a period of time.
About the shaped service
This service, which offers identical service levels to the
3GB ADSL accounts
offered by
Telkom, is shaped according to protocol and therefore provided the
main priority to HTTP, whick is the protocol assigned to most Internet Websites.
This ervices is therefore ideal for surfing the Web and retrieving or sending
mail.
To utilise these ADSL packages wou will require:
* An ADSL enabled telephone line supplied by Telkom.
* ADSL data bundle supplied by
SOLREY COMPUTERS.
* An ADSL modem or router obtained from
SOLREY
COMPUTERS or from Telkom.

Uncapped Unshaped service is best suited to users that require unlimited but
affordable ADSL access - people who don't want to be restrained by monthly
downloading caps. This accounts international bandwidth is supplied via Fibre
optic links and is not meant for heavy downloads.
10 Day Rolling Window - If you are in TOP 20% of IS users for 384kbs,
512kbs and 1024 connection speeds, you will be shaped.
For the 4096kbps Accounts, if you're in the top 50%, you will be shaped.
